Zela Labs Privacy Policy

Scope
This policy covers the Zela Labs iOS app, our website, and related APIs and services.
What we collect and why
We collect the minimum information needed to run a low-latency, real-time voice experience, keep it reliable and secure, and support users who contact us.
Live audio. When you start a session, your device streams microphone audio to our servers so the app can respond in real time. We process this audio transiently to provide the service and do not retain audio or chat content after the request is handled.
Telemetry and usage. We record technical and performance details such as session start and end times, latency and jitter, feature usage, device and app version, and network information (including IP address). We use this to keep performance stable, detect abuse, and debug issues. Where possible, we aggregate or de-identify this data.
Diagnostics. We collect crash reports and performance logs to maintain app health and to fix problems.
Purchases. If you buy something through the App Store, Apple processes your payment. We receive purchase metadata from Apple to deliver entitlements; we do not receive your card details.
User feedback. If you send feedback, support requests, or content reports, we store the text you provide and any contact details you include so we can respond and improve the product.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, do not serve behavioral ads, and do not sell personal information.
Permissions
The app requests microphone access to enable real-time voice input. If you deny permission, voice features will not function. System settings let you change permission choices at any time.
How we use information
We use the information described above to operate core functionality, measure and improve performance and reliability, prevent misuse, provide support, and deliver purchases you initiate. We do not use your audio or chat content to train models because we do not retain that content.
Retention
Live audio and chat content are processed in memory or short-term buffers and are not retained after your request is completed. Telemetry and diagnostics are typically kept for up to 90 days to monitor reliability and investigate issues. Feedback and support messages are kept as long as needed to address your request and improve the product, and are reviewed periodically for deletion. Backup systems may retain deleted items for a limited period before they cycle out.
Sharing with service providers
We use service providers to host and deliver our service (for example, cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, analytics and crash reporting, email and support tooling, and App Store billing integration). These providers act on our instructions under agreements that require appropriate confidentiality and security. Some processing may occur in countries other than your own.
We do not allow service providers to use personal information for their own marketing.
Safety and reporting features
The app includes features to report problematic content or behavior. Reports you send may include your written description, relevant technical metadata, and timestamps to help us investigate and improve safety.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, proportionate to the risks of real-time processing.
Your choices
You can control microphone access in iOS Settings at any time. You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have provided directly (such as feedback messages), subject to limited requirements to keep certain records for operational integrity.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we will post an in-app notice or otherwise communicate updates. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version.
